Mauro Ranallo has signed a new deal with the WWE that will see him remain in his current role as NXT’s play-by-play guy for the foreseeable future
Ranallo joined the WWE in late 2015. He was initially brought in as the play-by-play commentator for SmackDown in January 2016. In March 2017, Ranallo was taken off of WWE television due to backstage reports that he was allegedly being bullied by fellow commentator John “Bradshaw” Layfield.
Ranallo dismissed the JBL allegations upon announcing that he would be stepping away from the WWE a month later. He returned the company several months later where he worked NXT tv tapings and the NXT TakeOver WWE Network events.
Ranallo will also be allow to still work outside of the company for Showtime Boxing and Bellator.
